Greetings To All,
Well, here we are once again standing on the threshold before another autumn equinox. In some ways it seems as if we only just yesterday ushered in the Summer Solstice, yet with the heat we have lived through here in this part of the world, it seems it may have been a very long summer time indeed. At least this is the truth of reality for us here in the northern hemisphere. In the southern hemisphere, they anxiously await the arrival of the energies of Spring. Very different energies most assuredly; energies of sweet and warm renewal and birth. Amazing is this beautiful planet, Gaia, we are fortunate enough to live upon, enfolded within her comforting splendor. Always does she keep us, and her, in balance. As Above, So Below.
The energy of autumn has always been my favorite. I love the move from the fast paced movement of the summer energy to the calmer, slower moving frequencies of Autumn. The crisp sound of the autumn wind as it blows through the leaves of the trees is a music I truly adore. I swear, if you listen closely, you can hear the silence begin to come alive as the birds, and the squirrels, crickets and spiders, along with the trees and the flowers, begin to quite their summertime chatter and listen to the subtle tone of Autumn speaking as she enters through the doorway.
The fragrance of her perfumed essence can be detected on the last remaining scorching hot days as summer draws to a happy conclusion. Autumn’s aroma wafts gently among the laughter and delightful squeals of human and animal alike, as they enjoy the time of farewell to Summer until her time comes to rule once again on the wheel of life.
For those of us who live here in this particular part of the world, Autumn begins tonight at 10:09p.m. That allows us this full day to enjoy the time to bid adieu to Summer, thanking her for all the time and energy of growth she has afforded us. Then, tonight as we lay our self down to sleep, we can drift away to the realms of dreamtime ready to create reality in the peaceful energy of Autumn, and awaken to find we are wrapped fully in her loving embrace, ready to begin the task of harvesting what we have spent the Summer tending into full growth.
May Autumn and her energy of calm, peaceful harvest bring to you a bountiful time of reaping the love you have tended to maturity this Summer. May her crisp and spicy aroma carry you away to tend to the bonfires of pleasure and thankfulness, and may the sound of her silence take you deep into your own reflections.
May you truly enjoy every moment of this time of Autumn.
